Had some time off work to decompress and regenerate for the next stretch of days shooting. I should be working 4-5 days straight on the regular which is great and consistent. I'm honestly excited for the next day of shooting as we're at a new location which is novel and a great change of pace from the location we were shooting at the first week. The first week was great overall, and much better once I slipped into a new pair of shoes capable of remaining comfortable for the 12 hour shifts spent mostly standing. So yeah, job's pretty great so far and the work-life balance is starting to be manageable outside of the work week, and I have some time to work on personal projects and the motivation to do so as before having structure, I had no incentive to be consistent. I have reacquired a sense of work ethic through being on a film set and observing the efficiency at which things are done for the sake of the shoot budget. It made me reconsider the past efficiency of my art creation and motivated me to put more hours into flexing the creation muscles. Overall, this job has been a clear benefit by providing some much needed structure to my life with madd benefits yo.

Love weather this time of year, excited for the vibes. Hope it doesn't rain too much during work though. I always like to immerse myself in the season, as it's my favorite time of year being where my birthday is situated, Halloween and dope changes in nature. I tend to use the times as an excuse to revisit/experience media that is horror-coded or otherwise befitting of the spooky season. In the past I was inspired by Autumn to play Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and beat it 200% which was one of my all time greatest gaming experiences. I also ended up playing the original resident evil 4 around Halloween which really needs no introduction. I just like that there's room for seasonal traditions in a way that isn't as visible during other holidays. Christmas is tainted by its constant degeneration by subversion of its true meaning and turned into a veneration of materialism. Halloween and the extended Halloween season can still be celebrated due to its Pagan and Satanic ties. If you rebuke Satan (As do I), you can disconnect from that wicked celebration and enjoy spending time with friends and family enjoying Halloween-coded media and general festivities. Consumption of spirits is optional but recommended.

At the rate BloodBorne emulation on PC is being developed, I'll be able to play it just in time for Halloween which is hype, I've been getting the itch to play it again but can't since we returned the PS4 we rented back to a friend. Bloodborne is straight up the best overall package of the Fromsoft Souls games. It features the best combat, atmosphere, soundtrack, drip, great bosses and enemy design, a detailed interconnected world map full to the brim with secrets, and lore out of the entire series. I can't wait to replay it again once PC emulation reaches stability and I can run the entire game + The Old Hunters DLC smoothly.

As for some of the creative work I've been up to, I've been making some sci-fi blasters and a Tommy Gun/Chicago Typewriter to scale for sprites in my game. The game is intended to be a Soulslike in the style of The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past, so top-down Eagle view gameplay. It's in a majorly scrambled state in my mind but I'm slowly making order out of chaos, starting with the general setting and aesthetic which I hope to share more about in the near future. The main gyst is the concept of civilisational cycles which is why modern firearms, sci-fi weaponry and classic arms are all featured and available in the game at different points within separate areas. I was inspired by the vertically stacked nature of Dark Souls III's Demon Ruins, Lost Izalith, and the Catacombs which show very clear seperation between the ancient civilisations in the gear available within the areas. So yeah added those two graphics to the GFX Archive within the Archives.
